Ruth was inspired to start teaching yoga to others because of the drastic benefits that she discovered in her own personal practice of yoga.  Yoga changed her world,  nearly 12 years ago, from a place of trauma, chronic anxiety, depression, and PTSD, to a full life of gratitude, self-love, self-care, and has helped her create a sustained vision for a healthy, fulfilling, transformative life.  Ruth has overcome major obstacles that could have stopped her in her tracks, but through the daily practice of yoga, breath, and a healthy lifestyle, she has the strength she needs each day to overcome challenges with grace and keep up with and inspire her three young children.

Ruth has taught well over 3,500 hours in training individuals towards a healthier lifestyle.  She has taught yoga for over 6 years, specializes in teaching Trauma Informed Yoga, Power Yoga, Yoga for Athletes, Vinyasa Flow, Anusara Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Fundamentals of Yoga, Hot Yoga, Hummingbird HIIT and Yoga for Kids.  She loves sharing her yoga journey to people from all walks of life and her love of music as she often serenades her class with her angelic voice while playing the guitar. Ruth is based in Rexburg, Idaho, and teaches public and private yoga classes.  Due to the ever changing world with COVID, Ruth is currently teaching 3 live Zoom classes per week, please see “class schedule” to register.

Ruth has her first in a series of Children’s Yoga Books coming out soon, “I Am Remarkable, A Journey of Self Discovery” and her very own Hummingbird Yoga Apparel line is in the final stages of production (see image above).  Over the last 5 years, Ruth has volunteered her time to teaching yoga in the public schools to grades pre-K – 12th grade, and to High School sports teams.  Ruth received a grant, offering income for her hours spent teaching yoga in the public schools.  She is an affiliate of Yoga Outlet and Joy Organics – Premium Grade CBD.

With a Bachelor of Biblical Studies, Ruth enjoys intertwining the mind, body, soul, spirit and heart in her teachings. Ruth offers dedication to alignment, a compassionate heart, overflowing exuberance, and the desire to empower others to step into their highest potential with grace. Her own practice and life experiences have become her solid foundation for her gifted instruction. Ruth will help you discover the joy of yoga and help you find your artistic style through combining enthusiasm for life and the nourishment of the breath for beginners, athletes, elderly, prenatal, mommy/baby, and kids of all ages.  Ruth is a lover, a seeker of beauty, life, art, yoga, music, and fitness.  She is always seeking to make a positive difference in the world around her.   She is dynamic, creative, always hopeful, and looks at life as a never ending adventure!

Hummingbird Yoga has been created for the love of yoga, love of life, and the breath!  The journey through experiencing classes is designed to bring motivation to the mind, inspiration to the heart, and is dedicated to the soul.  Inhale love for yourself. . . . . exhale love for others. . . . .inhale compassion for who you are. . . . exhale compassion for others. . . . . inhale peace in your spirit. . . . . exhale peace for humanity. . . . .inhale joy for life. . . . . exhale joy to the world!

Why Hummingbird Yoga?  Life is so similar to that of a beautiful hummingbird.  The hummingbird is known as a messenger from heaven and a stopper of time.  It symbolizes love, joy, and beauty.  Always seeking out the sweetest nectar, they remind us  to forever seek out the good in life and the beauty of each day.  The sweetest nectar is within each one of us.  This nectar is found in the core of our very existence, our light, our love, our nurturing spirit.

May all of your dreams come true!

May you discover your destiny!
